I promise I am not a food blogger – but somehow food becomes the main focus around here and I can’t help but take pictures. Besides working out each morning, we don’t really have any other parameters by which to schedule our days except meals, so they are pretty big events.
Our second day in the Virgin Islands we scheduled completely around getting a pizza for dinner at Pizza Pi VI, the local pizza boat. Yes, you read that correctly – there is a floating food truck that will deliver pizza right to your boat, could life be any better?
The next day we hopped off the boat to explore St. John and hadn’t walked more than 100 yards when we were held hostage by two simple little words: “Happy Hour”

Bo has a personal quest to hit every tiki bar between Alabama and Grenada. Safe to say he is well on his way to success, especially when armed with his trusty side kick, Brian
The Longboard on St. John has a fabulous vibe, craft cocktails and creative bites. Can’t recommend it enough and we plan on at least one more return visit.
Although it may appear we are in vacation mode, our wallets definitely did not get the memo and we eat in most nights with Lauren and Brian. At some point each day we have a radio rendezvous to see who has what left in the fridge. Between the two of us we can usually come up with something delicious and nutritious.

Bo is always happy to man the grill and has an internal “beer timer” that manages to perfectly grill everything we give him.
That shot of Frick and Frack in their natural habitat is spot on. 🙂
Every Tiki Bar in the Caribbean? There are seven on Anegada alone… maybe eight. You should make that quest a blog of its own. If you are still in the USVI, try to get over to the St Croix YC. Nice anchorage, fun place.
It is definitely a tall order 🙂 We are in St John this week and St Croix is on the list!
