There is a nightly island tradition of conch blowing that commences each evening at sunset. The minute the sun slips below the horizon you will hear dozens of boats blow their conch.

I am quite sure there is some history somewhere that explains why this happens, but I don’t have time or internet enough to Google the hows/whys…I just know it is the thing to do. Unfortunately we were conch-less…

Our good buddies Cori and Dale on s/v Hi Flite noticed our complete lack of conch and came to our rescue, both with conch and a lesson on how to blow it. It is not as easy as it looks, but luckily we can practice every night!
